Wedding is the most beautiful and important part of one’s life, you enter in altogether new phase of your life and as it’s just not two people who are in this but an amalgamation of two families and relatives and extended relatives and on and on…In India, a wedding is a very big event for every Indian family and every small big detail is taken care of so that it becomes the most memorable moment of bride’s and groom’s life. In India, It all starts with family get-together, setting of marriage dates by pundits and then it comes to shopping. Marital shopping starts few months before the marriage. The shopping list on both sides basically includes all the fancy stuff from dresses to jewelry to gifts to home interior stuff etc. But for both parties, be it bride or groom, the most important thing on the shopping list is the big fat wedding card.
So, I am sure everyone who is reading this is thinking why I am calling a simple wedding invite, the big fat Indian wedding card, the reason is because now days wedding cards are not only merely wedding invites telling about the whereabouts of wedding and their families. It is something that defines bride and groom and their personalities. It tells the guests about their passions or their story of getting together. Wedding card is the first hint your guests get for your marriage event. It gives a glance into how much enjoyable the ceremony is going to be.
Well, a wedding card should look richer, cleaner, bright and gorgeous. Shining patterns on the cover of wedding card along with relevant religious wedding symbols is probably the most suitable one seeing the Indian scenario. India is such a big country which consists of many caste, states, customs and religion. Every community has a different concept of wedding. There are huge varieties of cards which are available according to different casts and cultures but all the cultures use wedding card for invitations and all of them do carry a mark of Indian tradition and culture.Wedding events were never as creative as they are now & same goes true in case of wedding invitations. Well, a wedding invite may feature a unique appeal by laying emphasis on incredible exquisite card design, by incorporating appealing wordings full of emotions & feelings or by laying emphasis on funky appearance. For example, one of my coder friends actually got his wedding invite typed in JavaScript and sent it all over, I have to say I was so impressed by the wedding card and was actually looking forward to his wedding ceremony (It was really an awesome technical wedding).
